Laundry Service® is a denim repair and customisation initiative built on a simple belief: the best garments we own already exist in our wardrobes. They’ve just been overlooked.

In a culture that constantly pushes us toward the new, we’ve been taught to undervalue what we already have. Yet most wardrobes are full of pieces with untapped life—garments that could be reworked, reshaped, and reimagined into something entirely new. Instead, they sit unworn, only to be replaced and eventually discarded.

Nearly three-fifths of all clothing ends up in incinerators or landfills within a year of being made, while less than 1% is truly recycled into new textiles. The cost of this cycle isn’t just waste—it’s the constant demand for new resources to replace what we already own.

Extending the life of a garment by just nine months could save £5 billion in resources used to produce, maintain, and dispose of clothing. The problem is real—but so is the solution.

Laundry Service is a project by Lillies Studios dedicated to keeping garments in motion. Through repair and customisation, we transform what’s already there—bleaching, dyeing, distressing, mending, reshaping, and refining each piece with intention.

Because better doesn’t have to mean new.
