Our Sustainability Values

1.Local Sourcing

Supporting our community and reducing our footprint: We take pride in sourcing fabric from local suppliers and markets, all within walking distance from our studio. By doing so, we forge valuable relationships with nearby businesses while also supporting our local economy. Sourcing locally is advantageous for us as it gives us full control of not only which fabrics we use, but also greater clarity on the materials we are using. Additionally, choosing local sources allows us to reduce transportation distances, leading to lower carbon emissions and a smaller environmental footprint for our business.

2. Repurposing Materials:

Embracing a Circular Economy and Reducing Waste is a core aspect of our sustainability efforts, which involves repurposing various materials, ranging from vintage fabrics to bed sheets, tablecloths, and even furniture upholstery. We believe in breathing new life into existing resources, minimising the demand for new materials, and hopefully, diverting waste from landfills. Alongside environmental benefits, this procedure gives us the opportunity to create truly unique pieces, that ensure our customers receive garments that are one of a kind.

3.Working with Local Experts:

Fostering Craftsmanship and Collaboration: Collaborating with a small team of expert local pattern cutters and seamstresses, is a way for us to develop a meaningful relationship with our team, to work alongside talented local community members, and maintain our brand ethos by producing hand-made, meaningful clothing. By investing in these talented artisans, we not only ensure superior craftsmanship but also contribute to the preservation of traditional skills in small communities.

4. Minimising Our Footprint:

A Holistic Approach to Sustainability: Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond sourcing and production. We strive to minimise our footprint in every aspect of our operations, including packaging, distribution, and energy usage. Our objectives are to reduce waste, energy consumption, and carbon emissions. Our approach to sustainable production showcases our commitment to the notion of a truly circular production cycle.
